On the 25th of April 2024, BSBCC received a visit from Australian Assistant Minister for Defense, Hon Matt Thistlethwaite MP.
The delegate attended the ANZAC Day celebration in Sandakan
before dropping by at Sepilok to visit BSBCC and the Sepilok Orangutan
Rehabilitation Centre (SORC). Mr Haniff from BSBCC Education Unit guided the
delegate on an informative tour to the observation platforms, observing some of
the bears while exchanging information.
