I am very grateful to Penerbitan Pelangi Sdn Bhd for doing what they do best to support sun bear conservation: publishing books about nature and sun bears, selling them, and donating part of the proceeds to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Today, the Executive Director of Pelangi Publishing Group Berhad, Mr. Sum Lih Kang, and the Content Director, Dr. Poh Swee Hiang, presented the check to me after my talk on sun bear conservation.
The talk was part of the “Rimba Rescue”event, which aimed to
raise awareness among schoolchildren about wildlife conservation. I was
bombarded with questions from the young audience—it was overwhelming (in the
best way)! A bonus for today’s event is
got to meet with an amazing influencer who work tirelessly to promote
biodiversity knowledge in Malaysia- keep up the good work @azamuddeen_nasir !
