Yeepi!!

Huge thanks to Balai Bomba Dan Penyelamat Sandakan with the help of Ketua Balai Bomba, Tuan Jimmy Lagung and his team for donating fire hoses to sun bears!! Fire hose provides wonderful enrichment to sun bears!  We will going to making difference types of fire hose enrichment for the bears to enjoy!

They have a fire hose pocket for digging, bear balls to play with, honey comb to promoting naturalistic behaviours, simple braided browser for swing, hammock made a great support for laying and SO much more!

The bears bark a big thanks for the new gift and making their day special!
What can we possibly make with this fire hose - lets see lot of cute pictures!

Wildlife Fun Run KK US Embassy (29th June 2019)

BSBCC attended a fun run, "Run Wild" and exhibition at Likas Bay, Kota Kinabalu with the theme of the wildlife conservation. The fun run featured the III Marine Expeditionary Forces Band from the US Marine Expeditionary Group. The run, organized by the US Embassy to Kuala Lumpur, with the cooperation of Kota Kinabalu City Hall and Kota Kinabalu Run Club aimes to raise awareness for the love of one of Sabah natural resources: the wildlife. The run itself sponsored by Coca-Cola and Brooks Running, who provided shirts with images of some of the wildlife can be found in Sabah, including sun bear. Big thanks to US Embassy for the invitation to such a great event!

SM St. Dominic Lahad Datu Visit to BSBCC (26 June 2019)

The sixth month of 2019 is getting close to an end, and the tourist peak season is setting in. Despite of the hectic situation at BSBCC, the EE Team welcomed a visit from SM St. Dominic Lahad Datu for an educational visit where they had the chance to see a real sun bears in the forest. Prior to that, they were briefed about the sun bears, their behaviours, roles in the rainforest, threats on them and law on their conservation to ensure the students gained information beside of enjoying the view of the beautiful creatures. Although it was a quick visit, it is our biggest pleasure to entertain the group as we are be able to share the loves to the sun bears with the students. Thanks for the visit, SM St. Dominic.

The visit ended happily and nicely, filled with joy and information.
