Today marked the first day of the Wildlife Discovery Weekend at Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu, a collaborative initiative between the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) and Hyatt Regency Kinabalu.
The event brought together government agency, conservation
organisations, and local artist who share a common passion for protecting
Sabah’s unique wildlife and natural heritage.
Participating partners included:
• Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD)
• HUTAN
• Danau Girang Field Centre (DGFC)
• Orangutan Appeal UK (OAUK)
• Seratu Aatai
• Charles Mawan (Local Artist)
Visitors enjoyed engaging conservation talks by BSBCC, SWD,
and OAUK, while 18 children aged 4–6 took part in a fun colouring activity.
Guests also explored educational exhibits and discovered more about the
incredible wildlife conservation efforts taking place across Sabah.
